Sidewalk improvement project to begin along S.R. 229 in Batesville

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Pedestrian improvements will be made along State Road 229 in Batesville this summer.

INDOT will install new sidewalks and improve pedestrian facilities between Franklin Street and Six Pine Ranch Road. 

“During the project, northbound and southbound S.R. 229 will be reduced to one lane. Eastbound and westbound I-74 will also be reduced to one lane under the S.R. 229 overpass,” INDOT officials said. 

The work is expected to begin on April 27 and be complete in November.
