Slight risk of severe weather on Tuesday

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – Rain and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday in Southeast Indiana. 

Expect showers during the morning with another round of rain possible in the afternoon and evening hours. 

The storms could bring some damaging winds, while large hail and an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. 

“In addition, some of the storms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall and localized flash flooding,” the National Weather Service stated.

Chris Phillips with Weather Pulse says the Storm Prediction Center has already decreased the chance of severe weather to a slight risk.

“I’m not saying we won’t see severe weather, but the potential for the more intense storms is increasingly shifting south of our area,” Phillips said.
