(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Snow appears likely this weekend as a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of Southeast Indiana.

The advisory has been issued for Franklin, Fayette and Union counties from Saturday morning until Sunday morning.

Forecasters say snow is likely Saturday afternoon and evening before turning to rain by Sunday.

Total snow amounts will likely vary based on what part of Southeast Indiana you are in.

For the area included in the Winter Weather Advisory, the National Weather Service predicts total snow accumulation between 1 and 4 inches.

Drivers are encouraged to be aware of slick and hazardous roads, especially bridges and overpasses.

Temperatures are not expected to reach 40 degrees through the next week as there is another chance for snow on Monday and Tuesday.
