(AURORA, Ind.) – South Dearborn’s boys and girls basketball teams made a difference in the community on Sunday.
They assembled 47 Christmas trees and tested lights for the Dearborn County Recycling Center’s annual Holiday Giveaway.
“Their teamwork and service are helping prepare for a beloved community event that supports local families during the holiday season. We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes for giving their time and talent to the community,” the school corporation stated.
The recycling center will host the Giveaway on Saturday, December 6. Community members can pick up the trees and lights, along with holiday craft items and decorations during the event.
You can also donate to the program by dropping off holiday decor, artificial trees, ornaments, gift wrap and other similar items on Monday’s through Friday’s at the Recycling Center.
The Dearborn County Recycling Center is located at 10700 Prospect Lane in Aurora and you can get hours of operation by clicking here.
