South Decatur grad seals national title victory for team

(KANSAS CITY) – A South Decatur graduate sealed the championship win for his college team on Tuesday night!
Lane Lauderbaugh plays for Freed Hardeman University in Tennessee and they competed in the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship.
They were playing Langston (Oklahoma) and the score was 74-71 with 14 seconds left.
Lauderbaugh was fouled and then made two free throws to ensure the victory.
The win marks Freed Hardemans second NAIA national title in the past 3 years.
The former Cougar standout as been a key part of the team and was named player of the game twice recently. Lauderbaugh previously played for IU Southeast and was one of the top scorers in the conference last year.
