(WESTPORT, Ind.) – High schoolers and community volunteers came together for a good cause this weekend.
The Kiwanis Club of Westport and the South Decatur High School Key Club held a highway cleanup along State Road 3.
Members of both clubs spent the morning collecting litter and debris in the Westport area, helping to beautify the area and create a safer, cleaner environment.
“This partnership is a wonderful example of how our youth and adults can work hand in hand to make a lasting impact,” said Dan Wenning of the Kiwanis Club of Westport. “We’re proud of our Key Club students for their dedication and community spirit.”
The Kiwanis Club of Westport sponsors the South Decatur High School Key Club, helping students develop leadership skills through service. Both groups regularly participate in projects that benefit local families, schools, and community spaces.
“The Kiwanis Club of Westport extends its thanks to all the volunteers who participated and to the South Decatur High School administration for supporting student involvement in community service,” the Kiwanis organization added.
