South Ripley seniors organizing Truck & Car Show for good cause

(OSGOOD, Ind.) – Two South Ripley seniors are organizing a Truck & Car Show in Osgood. 

It will take place at the Ripley County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 17.

Ashtyn Peelman and Madalyn Sizemore are using the vehicle show as a way to raise funds for a local organization. 

All proceeds will go to Reins for Recovery, which is a Seymour-based nonprofit that promotes physical, psychological and social wellbeing of persons with disabilities through equine programs. They also provide assistance to people who have been victims of violence or abuse. 

Peelman and Sizemore created this project through South Ripley’s Pay it Forward initiative, where each senior selects a cause to support.

The Truck & Car Show welcomes vehicle-owners who want to show off their rides. The entry fee is $30 per vehicle. 

There will also be food trucks, a Halloween costume contest, trunk-or-treat, kids games, and prize drawings. 

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids and teenagers. Here is a flyer for the event:
