(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- The Southeastern Indiana YMCA is expanding its early learning options by offering half-day preschool.
The half-day option will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays next school year. Children must be at least 3-years-old by August 10.
“By adding a half-day option, we’re giving families more flexibility while continuing to provide the high-quality, play-based learning experience the YMCA Learning Center is known for,” said McKenzie Callahan, YMCA Learning Center Childcare Director.
The traditional all-day preschool program will continue as the YMCA says both options will provide a nurturing environment with individualized attention for each child.
The all-day preschool program offers additional opportunities including expanded access to the Learning Center, swimming lessons as a class, outdoor fitness, transportation to other YMCA youth programs and hours of operation of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
Registration is now underway for next school year. Children ages 3 to 5 can be enrolled in preschool or the pre-kindergarten programs.
