Southeastern Career Center vet program receives state award

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The veterinary program at the Southeastern Career Center (SCC) is receiving statewide recognition. 

The program was awarded the Indiana CTE Award for Excellence from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the Indiana Association for Career and Technical Education. 

They received the award for the high-quality, hands-on educational opportunities that prepare students for successful careers in veterinary science and animal care. 

The Veterinary Program was launched just three years ago and quickly became one of the most successful and impactful career pathways that are offered at SCC.

SCC also learned in December that graduates of the Veterinary Program who continue their education at the Vet Tech Institute of Indiana will graduate with their associate degrees. 

“Their continued success demonstrates the lasting impact of SCC’s Veterinary Program and the opportunities it provides for students pursuing careers in veterinary medicine and animal science,” SCC stated.
