(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – St. Elizabeth Dearborn has announced it is closing its Intensive Care Unit in Lawrenceburg.
The hospital said it is part of a multi-year assessment that reviewed patient needs, service utilization, and long-term sustainability. Officials say the change is part of a plan to strengthen care across their system.
The ICU and overnight services in Dearborn County will be moved to St. Elizabeth’s Edgewood and Florence campuses.
Employees of St. Elizabeth Daearborn were informed earlier this week of the consolidation.
St. Elizabeth also plans to refocus outpatient rehabilitation services to emphasize specialized therapy, beginning at the St. Elizabeth Dearborn and its Versailles location.
