St. Lawrence students benefit from new learning devices

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) –  The Knights of Columbus has donated tablets and alphabet arcs to a St. Lawrence School elementary classroom.

Teacher Stephanie Glynn says the tablets have allowed the students to learn in a fun, entertaining way.

“They are practicing their letter recognition and formation, learning about syllables, practicing counting, shapes and so much more.  The kids are super excited to use these devices and all the while they are working on important skills,” Glynn said.

She added that the alphabet arcs have benefits multiple grade levels so far this year.

‘The arc has especially helped one of Stephanie’s students.  He was having difficulty distinguishing letters that are easily confused like b, d, p and q.  Being able to hold these letters in his hands to compare them has been vital in helping him figure out what makes each of these letters unique,” she added.
