St. Leon homeschool student leads team to comeback win

(ST. LEON, Ind.) – A homeschool student from St. Leon led his football squad to a big victory last week.

Jacoby Mooneyhan is a sophomore who is the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Eagles.

Last year, his success on the field led to him being invited to play in the All-American Rising Star Bowl in Tennessee.

The Cincinnati Eagles faced the Columbus Crusaders (Ohio) this past Friday and Mooneyhan had a dominant performance.

The Eagles were trailing with just 46 seconds left on the clock.

Mooneyhan returned a kickoff for 25 yards and then engineered the comeback.

With just 5 seconds left, Mooneyhan threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to tie the game.

He then drilled a game-winning extra point to give the Eagles a 29-28 victory.

Altogether, Mooneyhan accounted for 441 total offensive yards including 336 passing yards and four touchdowns.
