St. Louis fifth grader wins recycling art contest

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A St. Louis School student has won an art contest through the Southeastern Indiana Recycling District (SEIRD).
SEIRD challenged local students to design a flyer to promote recycling.
Fifth grader Ross Wanstrath was picked as the winning submission.
Ross has a love for airplanes and used aviation to create his design called “Recycling Will Keep You Flying High, Littering Will Get You Grounded."
His design was printed on t-shirts that he and his entire classroom received. It will also be used in future SEIRD promotions as well.
Ross's family, teacher, classmates, principal, and school recently celebrated his well-earned accomplishment. Here are some photos from the celebration:
