First year participating in archery

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A St. Mary’s Catholic School fourth grader is being recognized nationally for his academic and archery talents.
Sam Welsh has been named to the 2025 NASP Academic All-American Archery Team.
He is one of only four Indiana students selected to the elementary division team.
This was Welsh’s first year in archery and this is also the first time that a St. Mary’s student has been named a NASP All-American.
There were only 30 students from across the nation that were selected for the elementary division award. It recognizes students who excelled at archery as well as in the classroom.
He recently finished 3rd out of 823 fourth grade competitors at one tournament, and then 18th among 2,000 elementary boys at another.
