State champion Tigers named Cincinnati Enquirer Team of the Year

Soccer team was recognized on Wednesday night

(CINCINNATI) – The state champion Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers soccer team took home another trophy on Wednesday night! 

The Lady Tigers were named the Girls Team of the Year during the Cincinnati Enquirer High School Sports Awards. 

Lawrenceburg was one of five teams from across the Tri-State that were nominated for the award. 

Tiger soccer players Kelsey Offutt, Morgan Manford, Preslee Rugg and Aubree LaBazzo accepted the award.

Head Coach Bill Offutt called it an honor to be recognized across the Tri-State

“The 2024 season was a special one for all the players. It has been great seeing them recognized throughout the year not only in Lawrenceburg, but with FC Cincinnati in early spring, and now with the Cincinnati Enquirer covering the entire tri-state area,” Offutt told The 812. 

Aubree Labazzo was also one of eight athletes nominated for Northern Kentucky/Indiana Girls Soccer Player of the Year. East Central’s Rylee Schloss was also nominated for the same award.

The awards ceremony was held at Princeton High School on Wednesday night.
