(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A candidate for Indiana House District 68 is organizing a benefit concert.
Hunter Collins announced ‘Hardcore Against Hunger’ which will bring together the region’s hardcore music scene to fight food insecurity across Southeast Indiana.
It will be held at Agner Hall in Lawrenceburg on Friday, December 12.
Proceeds will support the Dearborn County Clearinghouse for Emergency Aid, which provides food and support to families in need.
The cost to attend is either $10 or 5 canned goods – where every donation goes toward helping local families in need.
“Hardcore has always been about community, resistance, and standing up for each other,” said Hunter Collins. “Hardcore Against Hunger is a chance to turn that energy into action, and to prove that our local music scene can be a force for good.”
The lineup is still being announced, and organizers are looking to fill a few final slots. Local hardcore or punk bands interested in playing are encouraged to reach out directly to Hunter Collins via social media or email at hunterforindiana@gmail.com
“We want this to be more than a concert,” Collins added. “We want people to walk away feeling like they’re part of something — a community that looks out for its own.”
Agner Hall is located at 101 Speedway Drive in Lawrenceburg .
