(SUNMAN, Ind.) – Students at Sunman Elementary School received energy-saving tips during a theater performance on Thursday.
It was hosted by Duke Energy who partnered with Bright Star Touring Theatre to bring professional actors to schools.
There were two 25-minute performances where the actors taught students about energy conservation during the live theater sketch.
Students learned about energy-saving tips such as unplugging electronics, turning off lights in empty rooms and making sure the faucet isn’t dripping.
The actors also spoke about the free energy efficiency kit that is available to Duke Energy customers. The company says the kit can not only supplement the concepts students learned during the show, but also help save energy and money on the electric bill.
