Switzerland Co. senior earns Lilly Scholarship

(VEVAY, Ind.) – A Switzerland County senior has been awarded the coveted Lilly Endowment Scholarship through The Community Foundation of Switzerland County.

Lainie McAlister will receive full tuition and required fees for four years of study at any Indiana college or university. 

She was selected by an independent committee which reviewed academic performance, citizenship, leadership, community involvement, school activities, and essays.

McAlister holds several leadership roles including Indiana FFA District XII Vice President and State Secretary of the Indiana Junior Simmental Association. 

She also is the Class Secretary, played soccer and cross country, is a 4-H camp counselor and works at Roxano’s Italian Restaurant and her family’s farm.

Lainie is the daughter of Dan and Kodi McAlister, of Patriot.
