Three teams to compete in IHSAA softball, baseball tournament

(NASHVILLE, Ind.) – A few local softball and baseball teams will be competing in the IHSAA State Tournament this weekend. 

Milan Softball

The Milan Lady Indians defeated Knightstown earlier this week to advance to the softball Semi-State. 

They 30-4 Indians will face 21-4 West Washington in Brown County at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 6. The winner of that game will face either Barr-Reeve or Indianapolis Lutheran at 7 p.m. that night. 

North Decatur Baseball

North Decatur will compete for a Regional this weekend as they will play Hauser at Jennings County at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6. 

The 15-8 Chargers will battle Hauser that has an 18-4 record. The winner will face either West Washington or North Daviess on June 13. 

Batesville Baseball

The 17-10 Batesville Bulldogs will travel to Floyd Central to face the 24-5 Providence Pioneers. The game will be at 4 p.m. Saturday. 

The winner will face either Guerin Catholic or Northview on June 13.
