(SUNMAN, Ind.) – Community members are asked to write letters of support as Sunman pursues a Drinking Water Infrastructure Improvements project.
Town officials say the $4.7 million project is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to modernize aging water systems, protect public health, and ensure safe, reliable drinking water for decades to come.
They are asking the public to write letters that will demonstrate to federal officials that the project has strong local backing.
The letters can be about the importance of reliable drinking water, why this project matters to you, importance of infrastructure improvements or why the project is a good reason to pay taxpayer funds.
Letters should be addressed to:
The Honorable Mike Simpson
Chair, House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies
Submitted through:
The Honorable Erin Houchin
U.S. House of Representatives
If you are willing to help or would like guidance on how to submit a letter, please reach out to Clerk-Treasurer Cheryl Taylor at clerk@towofsunman.org.
