Tree County Players thanks season sponsors

Article submitted by Tree County Players

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- Tree County Players, our community theater right here in Greensburg, Indiana, is close to finishing out another successful season. Their seasons run from August 1 to July 31, and this 2025-2026 season marked their 54th season. Tree County Players was established in 1971 and has been “acting out” ever since.

This 2025-2026 season has included a musical revue, two plays, a children’s production, and partnerships with two local organizations, the ARC of Decatur County and Feldman’s Music Studio. The season is not over yet, though! This summer, Dreams in the Spotlight: A Young Adult Broadway Revue, is scheduled for June 25-27, and the annual Youth Theater Camp is scheduled for July 22-24.

This season has been especially successful with the help of twelve season sponsors. Karen Matthews, TCP’s sponsorship coordinator, explains the impact. “This season, we decided to ask for season sponsorships instead of separate sponsors for each show. We had an amazing response from our generous community! These sponsors secured their spots at the beginning of the season, so we were able to extend sponsorship perks to them throughout the entire season. We use their sponsorships to cover licensing costs for shows, props, sets, costumes, and even to supplement our organization’s operating expenses. Having these sponsors helps us continue our mission of ‘enriching our community through performing arts experiences.’”

Tree County Players would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to their generous GOLD sponsor Distinctive Construction, LLC out of Milroy. They also had eleven BRONZE sponsors from our community:  Daisy’s Doggie Daycare, Dana Witkemper with State Farm, Bass and Gasper Funeral Home, Decatur County Memorial Hospital, First Federal Savings and Loan, David Gill with Edward Jones, O’Mara Foods, John Glick with Silvertree Insurance, The Napoleon State Bank, Gene Cooney with Ruoff Home Mortgage, and Selking International Trucks.

As the current season wraps up, TCP is preparing for their 2026-2027 season. Make sure to follow them on their Facebook page, or visit their website, www.treecountyplayers.com, to make sure you don’t miss the 2026-2027 Season announcement.

With the coming of a new season, they will also be looking for 2026-2027 season sponsors. If your organization is interested in investing in the arts in our community, reach out to tcpadmin@etczone.com or call the TCP office at 812-222-4766.
