Two rivals will battle for sectional championship tonight

Game will be in Jennings County

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – Two rivals will meet in a sectional baseball showdown this afternoon.

Batesville and Greensburg will face each other to decide the winner of the Sectional 29 Championship. 

The Bulldogs won both regular season games against the Pirates. On April 28, Batesville beat Greensburg 6-3 behind Notre Dame-commit Will Jaisle’s strong pitching outing. 

Batesville hosted the Pirates on May 23 and won 4-3 in extra innings. 

The sectional championship will take place at 5:30 p.m. tonight at Jennings County High School.
