(INDIANAPOLIS) – Two local state senators both had a 100 percent voting record during the 2026 legislative session.
State Sen. Randy Maxwell (R-Guilford) and State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) are both being recognized for not missing a vote on the Senate floor.
"It is my responsibility to be the voice of Senate District 43. That is not a job I take lightly," Maxwell said. "That is why I make sure I am present for every vote to ensure my constituents' voices are heard. It is a great honor to serve my community this way, and I will remain committed to the oath I took when I was sworn into office to represent my district to the best of my ability.”
Each voted on a series of new laws that range from public safety, lower utility rates and no taxes on tips.
