(FRIENDSHIP, Ind.) – A vendor booth in Friendship caught fire early Sunday morning.
Friendship firefighters were dispatched around 3 a.m. to a report of a structure fire in the 5900 block of State Road 62.
Firefighters believe it caught fire due to a short in lighting, and said there was significant damage to the contents in the booth.
“There were reports of explosions, however, no injuries were reported,” Friendship Fire Chief Keith Sieverding said.
Sieverding is crediting a few citizens who used portable extinguishers to limit the spread of the fire.
Firefighters completely extinguished the fire once they arrived.
