Versailles Legion to host fundraiser for Walters family

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A fundraiser will be held in Versailles on July 18 to support the Walters family. 

33-year-old Jordan and Sierra Walters, of Milan, were tragically killed when a pickup crossed the centerline and struck their vehicle on State Road 350 on June 12. 

Their two sons were in the vehicle as the family was driving to a Milan 8U baseball game. Both kids were briefly hospitalized. 

The Versailles American Legion will host ‘The Walters Boys Fundraiser Fish Fry’ from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. 

All community members are invited as the event will feature a fish fry, raffles, an auction, music and more. It’s a free-will offering and all proceeds will support the two Walters children. 

“One of our members that is helping organize this event is Sierra's uncle, Chris Guerra, and his wife Lisa,” said Post 173 Club Manager Julie Elliott.
