Volunteers sought for Decatur County Community Garden

There will be kickoff event on June 11

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Do you enjoy gardening and want to get more involved in the community?
The Decatur County Community Garden project is currently seeking volunteers to assist with watering, weeding, and eventually, harvesting.
Volunteers can also work on their own schedule during weekdays. Click here for a link to signup.
There will also be a community kickoff event at the Decatur County Health Department on Wednesday, June 11.
“To accommodate varying schedules, they will offer two meeting times of 12 p.m. as well as 5 p.m.
“The meeting will include information about the garden and about composting, and all attendees will receive a compost pail to take home. We will also provide a brief tour of the garden following each meeting,” said Purdue Extension Community Wellness Coordinator Catherine Niese.
