(FRIENDSHIP, Ind.) – Water has significantly receded in Friendship on Friday.
Earlier this morning, State Road 62 and Cave Hill remained impassable and under water in several areas.
As of 12 p.m., Laughery Creek has receded and the water is off the roads.
“INDOT has been informed and will be dispatched to remove the barriers and inspect the roadway to ensure it is safe to travel. Please be patient as this is important for everyone’s safety,” the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department said.
The fire department reminded citizens to be vigilant as another surge in creek levels is possible.
