Westport Kiwanis to host Kids Fishing Rodeo on Saturday

(WESTPORT, Ind.) – The Kiwanis Club of Westport will host their annual Kids Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, May 16. 

It will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Westport Water Co Fishing Lakes.

Local children are encouraged to participate in the free public event. 

Each child must have an entry form completed and signed by a parent or guardian before participating. Children are required to bring their own fishing equipment, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle.

There will be trophies and door prizes for ages 13-15, age 9-12 and for those under 8-years-old. 

“In addition to fishing, free hot dogs and drinks will be provided for attendees. 

“This is always a great day for kids and families in our community,” event organizers said. “We’re excited to welcome everyone out for a morning of fishing, fun, and prizes.”
