Woman accused of child molesting in Jennings County

(NORTH VERNON, Ind. – A North Vernon woman has been arrested on child molesting charges following a year-long investigation.  

A Jennings County detective began investigating a report of sexual assault involving a minor in June of 2025. 

Police say they found enough evidence to issue a warrant for 32-year-old Amber Gidding on Saturday. 

She was taken into custody and has been charged with Child Molesting and Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury a Person Less Than 14-Years-Old
