(MILAN, Ind.) -- A woman and young child were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 50 and State Road 101.
Ripley County deputies say a Brookville man was operating a Townsend Tree Service truck on S.R. 101.
Heavy fog led to the driver not seeing the stop sign, investigators said.
The truck collided with an SUV that was operated by Katherine Stirn, of Dillsboro, who also had a 7-year-old child in the car.
Stirn and the young child were rushed by Ripley County EMS to University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospital due to their injuries.
The driver of the tree service truck was treated at the scene and released.
Deputies added that all occupants involved were removed from their vehicles by Good Samaritans prior to first responders arriving.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol are a factor in the crash.
