Happened on West Chapel Road

(RUSHVILLE, Ind.) – Two people are dead after a crash in Franklin County on Saturday night.
It happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 27000 block of West Chapel Road near Andersonville.
Franklin County deputies say a Chevrolet Impala was speeding when it struck a utility pole.
“The vehicle continued through a grassy area, collided with a tree, and became airborne once again before striking the residence at 27212 West Chapel Road,” said Chief Deputy Gregory Mehlbauer.
The driver was identified as 49-year-old William Leo Dunham, of Oldenburg.
The passenger was identified as 51-year-old Jesse Brummett, Jr., of Sunman.
Dunham and Brummett were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies believe excessive speed was a factor in the crash and they said alcoholic beverages were also found at the scene.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Letts EMS, the Clarksburg Fire Department and the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
