House destroyed by Thanksgiving Eve fire in Clarksburg

(CLARKSBURG, Ind.) – A house was destroyed by a fire near Clarksburg on Wednesday night. 

The fire occurred around 7 p.m. at a home on North County Road 500 East near E. County Road 640 North. 

The Clarksburg Fire Department thanked the agencies that assisted while adding, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family that lost their home in last night's fire.”

Clarksburg was assisted by Greensburg, New Point, Adams, and Anderson Township fire departments.

It is not believed that there were any injuries. While the cause is unknown, local firefighters are reminding citizens that Thanksgiving is the leading day for cooking fires. Here are some tips.
