Arson suspected in Laurel home fire Friday morning

(LAUREL, Ind.) – Officials believe arson might be the cause of a house fire in Laurel on Friday morning. 

The fire broke out around 6:15 a.m. at a vacant home on Edgerton Street.

Nobody was hurt in the blaze but officials do have concerns on how the fire originated. 

An Indiana State Fire Marshal official tells The 812 that there was no electricity in the home and no heat sources that could have contributed to the fire. 

There is a reward up to $5,000 for anyone that has information that could lead to the conviction of the person(s) responsible for the incident.
