Aurora tattoo artist in national competition

(AURORA, Ind.) – An Aurora artist is competing in a national contest that was organized by actor Johnny Depp. 

Ashley Harms works as a tattoo artist and also enjoys painting with acrylic. 

“I like to create art that makes someone pause. Art that encapsulates hidden normalities that go unnoticed until someone projects them in a new light,” she said. 

This nationwide voting contest is called ‘The People’s Artist’ and it began this week. 

One artist will win $25,000, appear in a magazine and have their artwork displayed at The Art of Elysium's Salon in Los Angeles.
