Batesville announces new City Engineer

Kuntz previously worked for the City of Shelbyville

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The City of Batesville has named John Kuntz as their new City Engineer. 


He will replace Tim Macyauski who retired from the role after several years at the end of December. 


Kuntz is an Oldenburg Academy graduate who earned a Civil Engineering degree from Purdue. 


He has previous experience working for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the City of Shelbyville for the past 11 years. 


Kuntz was involved in the revitalization of downtown Shelbyville as well as the development of Knauf Trails. 


His role with the City of Batesville will include the enhancement of public safety, particularly concerning traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
