Batesville Fire adds new lifesaving technology

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The Batesville Fire Department has rolled out brand new lifesaving equipment.
The department has added LIFEPACK 35 cardiac monitors which are devices capable of reading heart conditions, providing real-time data and delivering electric shocks to patients.
“These state-of-the-art devices enhance our ability to provide advanced cardiac care in the field, allowing our firefighters and paramedics to deliver faster, more accurate patient assessments and life-saving interventions when seconds matter most,” the fire department stated.
The department also announced that a few of their members graduated from the St. Francis Paramedic Course this past weekend.
Spencer Broughton and Brandon Brinson both completed the program and Broughton was was named class valedictorian.
Batesville's Matthew Vaughan was also named Paramedic Preceptor of the Year.
