(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville girl who is hoping to get a heart transplant received a special letter in the mail this week.
13-year-old Adaline Deal was born with two rare heart conditions in China, before being adopted by her Batesville parents.
The Deal’s found themselves in the news after Cincinnati Children’s Hospital allegedly refused to put Adaline on the transplant list due to the family not allowing the COVID and flu shot.
Adaline is now on the transplant list and the operation could happen any week.
This week, she received a personal letter from President Donald Trump.
The letter reads, “The strength and determination that you have shown throughout your young life is truly inspiring. Mrs. Trump and I are confident that you will continue to face life's challenges with courage and grace.”
It also stated, “Always remember that you are never alone – you are surrounded by people who love and care about you. We are so proud of you, and your future is incredibly bright!”
The family is hoping Adaline will be approved for a heart transplant as soon as possible.
