(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville seventh grader has earned a trip to the Scripps National Spelling Bee!
London Tuttle competed in the regional competition in Cincinnati on Saturday and was one of two students from the Tri-State to advance.
Tuttle spelled the word “paratactic” correctly which is what led to her winning in the competition.
She told WCPO that her goal is to make the top 10 in the national competition later this year.
There will be more than 200 students from across the country who will compete in the 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee which will be held in Washington, D.C. on May 26.
