Batesville softball team wins Edgewood tournament

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville youth softball team won their division championship at the Edgewood Athletic All-Star Tournament this weekend. 

The 8U Bombers beat teams from much bigger schools including Ben Davis and Center Grove. 

They advanced to the championship game against top-seeded Broad Ripple where Batesville won 12-8. 

The Batesville 8U Bombers went undefeated in the tournament despite being shorthanded due to a few players being on family vacations. 

They are coached by Tyler Schmid, Nathan Parrott and Bobby Koors.
