Batesville travel agency gives free vacation to local family

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A Batesville travel agency has selected the first recipient of their Journey of Hope initiative. 

Megan’s Amazing Adventures created ‘Journey of Hope’ where they sponsor a trip for a family who has never had the opportunity to get away and relax. 

After receiving nominations, the agency surprised a local family with a free vacation this past weekend. 

They showed up at the house of Mark and Aimee Reese, of Brookville, to surprise them with the news. 

Mark and Aimee have 8 children with 6 of them being adopted and 2 others being biological.

The family has also provided daycare, temporary shelter, and fostered more than 100 kids over the years. 

“Mark is battling serious health challenges, including liver cancer, while Aimee continues to care for Mark, their children, and their family,” Megan’s Amazing Adventures stated. 

The Reese family will now plan a fully-donated vacation which was made possible by the travel agency as well as people who donated to the initiative.

“We cannot wait to give the Reese Family something to look forward to — time together, a chance to step away from doctors and everyday stresses, make memories, laugh, explore, and simply enjoy being a family,” Megan’s Amazing Adventures added.
