Business Spotlight: Flavors Ice Cream in Aurora

(AURORA, Ind.) – As summer winds down, be sure to stop by the local landmark of Flavor’s in Aurora!

The restaurant has been in operation since the 1950’s and serves up their famous ice cream along with lunch and dinner options. 

David and Valerie Wandstrat purchased the local staple in 2023 and are committed to keeping things the same. 

“In our opinion so many creameries have changed their mix to save a buck. We have kept our recipe the same through the past 3 ownerships at least,” Valerie said. 

They pride themselves not only on the menu, but also providing a great service to customers. Many of their associates are local teenagers who enjoy working at Flavors. 

“We have a wonderful staff hands down! We truly have a family atmosphere, most of the staff are related or have been with Flavors for awhile. They do the best they can to accommodate each and every person that stops at Flavors,” David said. 

David and Valerie are committed to keeping Flavors the local staple that is has always been. It will be open this season through mid-October. 

“We want everyone to know that Flavors has been a beloved landmark for decades and we will continue to keep it that way! With that being said we will work hard to stay right where we are and do the much needed improvements to the original building to accommodate the growth of the community,” David added.
