Car fire leads to death investigation on I-275 near Lawrenceburg

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Authorities responded to a car fully engulfed in flames in the median on I-275 near Lawrenceburg on Wednesday afternoon. 

That car fire has led to a death investigation, Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry confirmed. 

“At this point, we don't believe this is going to be a criminal investigation,” McHenry added. 

The incident remains under investigation as there is no word on what led to the fire or who is involved.

Agencies that responded included the Dearborn County Coroner, Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office, Greendale Police, and Greendale Fire & EMS.
