(OSGOOD, Ind.) – The Carson Hughes Foundation is continuing their mission of giving back to others.
The nonprofit recently gave out nearly $4,000 to four different organizations in Ripley County.
The money was raised during the annual Carson’s Memorial Ride and other fundraisers that the organization held last year.
Here's who received donations:
Genesis Pathways to Success received $1,000 for their annual Photography in Nature Camp.
“Carson was scheduled to teach at this camp in the summer of 2024, an opportunity he was so excited about,” his family said.
Youth to Yellowstone of Ripley received $1,000
This nonprofit provides free trips to Ripley County highschoolers who have never been out west.
The Jac-Cen-Del Summer Recreational Ball program received $200.
“This one is especially meaningful. This was Carson’s very first organized team when we moved to Osgood. It’s where some of his first “Eagle” friendships were formed and memories began,” his parents said.
The Jac-Cen-Del High School baseball program was awarded $1,500.
It will go toward field upgrades and the new auxiliary gym.
"And when we say ‘we gave,’ we truly mean you gave. Your love, your support, your generosity — that’s what fuels every bit of this,” the family added.
They added, “We promise to continue supporting projects and initiatives that were — or would have been — important to Carson. His legacy lives on through all of us.
