CHC of Decatur County to host online auction beginning March 31

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Community Healthcare Clinic of Decatur County will host their annual Basket Auction beginning on March 31. 

The online auction involves a basket being posted on their Facebook page everyday from March 31 until April 11. 

“Each basket in the auction was created by a member of our board of directors. There is a wide variety of offerings from a gardening basket, dental care, products from Honduras, a photography session and so much more,” said CHC Executive Director Emily Verseman.

The money raised from the basket auction goes toward patient care for those in Decatur County that are either uninsured or underinsured.  

In 2024, the CHC raised funds to provide a remodel of their dental clinic. They plan to install equipment at the facility later this year.  

The nonprofit was also able to provide over $75,000 worth of medication to patients at no cost last year. In 2023, they were able to launch the Patient Pantry.

The CHC is open to anyone that is either uninsured or has insurance with a deductible over $3,000 and meets financial income guidelines. The cost per medical visit is $10 and dental visits are $20. 

They currently provide care to over 100 families in Decatur County. Additionally, the CHC supports patients by offering educational classes, medical supplies as needed, and assisting with medications.
