Cincinnati man arrested after investigation into meth dealing

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Cincinnati man was arrested Wednesday after a months-long investigation into meth dealing in Dearborn County.


Dearborn County deputies say they began investigating 38-year-old Troy Thomas earlier this year.


Investigators allege that Thomas was distributing a large amount of methamphetamine in Dearborn County for several years. 


“During the investigation detectives were able to purchase over 111 grams of suspected methamphetamine from Thomas,” Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry said. 


Authorities say Thomas was parked at a location in Greendale on Wednesday that he has allegedly sold drugs at before. 


Officers arrested him and say Thomas was in possession of approximately 117 grams of methamphetamine. 


Thomas is currently being held at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center without bail.


The Dearborn  County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by multiple Ohio agencies, the Boone  County Sheriff’s Office, the Aurora Police Dept. and the Greendale Police Department.


The department added that Thomas has an extensive criminal history in Ohio including aggravated robbery, multiple weapons charges and trafficking in drugs.
