Cincinnati Tradition Drum and Bugle Corps to host audition at SCHS

(VEVAY, Ind.) – Local high school and collegiate brass players and percussionists are invited to an upcoming audition camp at Switzerland County High School.
The Cincinnati Tradition Drum and Bugle Corps is a four-time world champion in the Drum Corps International All-Age Division.
They’re preparing for the 2027 season by hosting its first rehearsal and audition camp at SCHS from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 22.
Switzerland County was selected for the audition camp following three graduates who performed with the highly-respected group earlier this year.
Nathan Hildebrand, Harold Ballard, and Garrett Harris spent the summer touring with Cincinnati Tradition before performing at the DCI World Championship finals at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis this past August.
"Hosting an ensemble of this caliber right here in Vevay is a tremendous honor and an incredible opportunity for student musicians throughout the 812 area code," said Keith Hildebrand, President of the Switzerland County Band Boosters and board member for Cincinnati Tradition.
Hildebrand added, "After watching our own Switzerland County students take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium, we want to ensure every interested high school performer in the local area knows that the door to the DCI experience is wide open for them."
All area high school and collegiate brass players, percussionists, and guard members interested in developing their technique, learning from championship-level staff, or auditioning for the 2027 competitive roster are encouraged to register.
There will also be a color guard audition camp for the Cincinnati Tradition in Hamilton that same day. How to get involved:
