(COLUMBUS, Ind.) – A man was arrested after allegedly crashing into a Bartholomew County deputy.
The police vehicle was parked at the intersection of Tenth Street and Whitfield Drive when it was rear-ended on Tuesday afternoon, the sheriff’s department said.
69-year-old David Caldwell was driving the other vehicle and there nobody was hurt.
During the crash investigation, deputies say Caldwell threw a bag of suspected drugs under his vehicle.
Police said the drugs tested positive for fentanyl and Caldwell also had a pipe and a gun.
