(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A community blood drive will be held in Greensburg on Wednesday, September 16.
It’s part of the Decatur County United Fund’s (DCUF) annual Day of Caring and will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the DCUF office on Broadway Street.
“By adding this new opportunity, Day of Caring will now double the ways our community can give back — through hands-on volunteer projects and lifesaving blood donations,” said DCUF executive director Blaire Hornberger.
The blood drive is hosted by Centra Credit Union in partnership with the Decatur County Community Foundation and Versiti Blood Center of Indiana.
Hornberger added that DCUF is grateful that Centra Credit Union and the Decatur County Community Foundation brought this initiative to Day of Caring.
“A special thank-you goes to Bailey Yeager of Centra Credit Union for envisioning this addition and helping us expand the ways our community can give back. Their commitment to growing service opportunities reflects the spirit of this event and the heart of our community,” she said.
