Credit card skimmer found at Pavey's in Connersville, police hope to ID suspects

(CONNERSVILLE, Ind.) – The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is hoping to identify two people that they believe are connected to a credit card skimmer at a Connersville gas station. 

Investigators found a credit card skimmer at Pavey’s Country Store on State Road 1. 

“We believe the device was located before the suspects could obtain any information from it,” the sheriff’s office added.

Police also ask customers to monitor their accounts if they used their card at that store's gas pumps between the hours of 4 p.m. June 25 and 8 a.m. on June 26. 

“But again we believe the suspects did not obtain any information due to Pavey's staff locating the device,” the sheriff’s office added.
