(GREENBURG, Ind.) – Nobody was hurt after a home caught fire in Decatur County on Sunday.
Adams Township firefighters were called to a home on County Road 650 and said it was fully engulfed when they arrived.
“According to the property owner, the residence had been unoccupied for several years," Adams Township firefighters said.
Firefighters quickly initiated suppression operations and worked to contain the fire.
The department was assisted by Greensburg Fire, Decatur County EMS, Decatur County Communications, and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department.
“We would also like to recognize members of Saint Paul Fire Department and Waldron Fire Department who were in the area and stopped to assist, helping operate pumps to maintain a steady water supply for suppression crews,” they added.
